How can I personalize my campaign?
You are able to personalize your campaign while typing a message in the second step of SMS campaign or third step of Smart SMS campaign, respectively. Message personalization is a powerful tool that creates a higher positive attitude towards the message from the side of the recipient. This can therefore lead to a higher conversion rate of the campaign.
In order to personalize your campaign, you have to have necessary information such as name, email or other contact information you want to use for the personalization.
To personalize your campaign:
- Go to the second step of SMS campaign or third step of Smart SMS campaign, respectively
- Unwrap Personalize menu under the typing window
- Use any of the available variables in this menu in order to personalize your campaign. The personalize menu has two parts. The upper one represents contact information of your recipients. It shows only those variables you have data for. The lower one represents your personal information. You can include both of them in your personalization
Please note that if you lack any data for the selected recipient variables, the recipient who you lack the data for will receive a message without the selected variable. In other words, if you want to write a message “Dear <first_name>, I want to…“, and you filled the first name for only 50% of the recipients, the variable <first_name> will be empty for 50% of your recipients. Therefore half of your recipients will receive message “Dear , I want to…“.
- If you lack any data for a variable you would like to use, you can hover over the variable and click "Set default variable for x% contacts." Now enter a default value for the selected variable. This default value will be used instead of an empty space.
