What’s the difference between promotional and transactional SMS?

TRANSACTIONAL SMS

Transactional SMS is SMS notification sent, for example, via Customer SMS and Admin SMS. It enables you to send timely alerts, updates and notifications to your customers, and receive notifications about various events in your store.

Example: Dear customer, status of your order has changed to Payment accepted. Have a nice day! YourGuitars

It is strictly prohibited to exploit transactional SMS for promotional/marketing uses. It must be used for notification purposes only - as an SMS notification.

PROMOTIONAL SMS

Promotional SMS is Bulk SMS sent via SMS campaign. It is used to promote or advertise your products, services, events and others. It contains sales and marketing information.
